21st Advance Music Acoustic Singer / Songwriter Contest

The Point Radio Network and Founders Brewing, present the 21st Advance Music Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Contest. Drawing seasoned musicians, as well as those who have never performed in public, the contest always proves to be an eclectic and diverse event, showcasing many musical and lyrical styles, textures, and tastes. Stop in to Advance Music in Burlington or call 863-8652 to sign up for one of three semi finals by October 7th, registration is limited to 45 contestants, so don’t delay!

If you're not a musician, cheer on your favorite performer, while enjoying some great music and libations. Head to The Old Post in South Burlington, Oct 8th, The Monkey House in Winooski, Tuesday October 15th and Nectar’s in Burlington, October 22nd. The top three contestants from each of these three nights of semi finals, will compete at Higher Ground on Tuesday October29th, for a winner takes all prize package, including a beautiful Taylor acoustic guitar, a $500 award from the Rachel Bissex White Light Fund and two full days of recording at Meadowlark Studio, in their state-of-the-art recording studio in Williston. Admission is free to all 4 nights of the contest!
